  1. Short:    Create icons for pictures with ImageFX

  6. Here's a little ImageFX ARexx script I use for creating icons from my images.
  7. To utilize it to the fullest, you need:
  8.  
  9. 1. ImageFX 1.50 or higher
  10. 2. ReqTools and RexxReqTools (from aminet:util/libs/ReqTools22b_U.lha)
  11. 3. NewTool 2.6 or higher (from aminet:util/wb/NewTool26.lha)
  12. 4. Some pictures :-)
  13.  
  14. You can select as many files as you like from a file requester.  The program
  15. then lets you set some options, and creates all the icons without further
  16. user intervention.  The image viewing program of your choice is added as the
  17. image's "Default Tool".
  18.  
  19. As an example, I've included a grab of part of my Workbench screen.

  22. Significant new features in this version:

  24. * Can use any pixel aspect ratio information present in the image
  25. * Can create black-and-white icons from colour pictures, if desired
  26. * Maximum and Step size can be set in GUI
